In English this week, Oak Class got into the role of Stanley from our class text, Holes. After reading the letter that Stanley sends home to his mom, we planned and wrote informal letters for the same purpose: to reassure home that Stanley is well and enjoying camp! We developed our inference skills by considering why it may be the case that Stanley was dishonest in his original letter home. The children came up with some really thoughtful answers.
