My history
We have been trying to answer the question, how am I making history? We played “Guess Who” with our baby photographs and talked about how much we have changed. Then we made our own personal timelines. Many thanks to all our families for sharing their precious photographs!
The Viking Period
Oak Class began their new unit of learning by creating Viking timelines. The children learned when the Vikings came to Britain and the main reasons believed as to why!

Egyptian Day!
Willow had an amazing time at St Andrews this week for our Egyptian themed day! They took part in a variety of activities including crafting their own cartouche, making their own clay amulet, painting masks of eternity and mummy wrapping fun!
Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs

The Great Fire of London workshop
We had an amazing morning going back in time to 1666 to investigate what happened in Pudding Lane. We used role play and collaborative games to understand the sequence of events, bringing everything to life. It was also our first time on the minibus which was really exciting!
Whittington Barracks!
Willow have loved learning all about WW1 over the past six week! Today, they deepened their learning with real life experiences, artefacts and sources at the Whittington Barracks. The educators at Whittington Barracks were extremely impressed with Willow’s subject knowledge - huge well done…

Willow: History and WW1!
In history, Willow loved learning all about what Europe looked like in 1914. Through a colour key, they identified the Neutral States, Triple Entente, Triple Entente Allies, Triple Alliance and Triple Alliance Allies countries!
Tamworth Castle

Class Two: The Roman Invasion
Class Two Wedge! Class Two are enjoying learning all about the Roman Invasion this half term! In our History lesson this week, we learnt all about the Roman army including lifestyles, ranks and formations. Well done Class Two - a force to be reckoned with!
