We had a lovely afternoon in the spring sunshine creating some Easter gardens! We collected lots of natural materials and recreated the tomb of Jesus.

Pass the parcel
We played pass the parcel with a twist - each layer had a picture from The Easter story and we used them to retell the story in the correct order. This really helped us to make sense of main events and understand why it is so important for Christians.
Class Two: Recycling
Class Two loved learning all about the importance of recycling! A big thumbs up from the boys who have promised to recycle every possible item going forward. Well done Class Two.

Advent
As part of our topic about festivals of light, we have been exploring the meaning and symbolism of Advent. We worked together to create our own Advent wreath and Year 2 wrote some fantastic Advent prayers.

Charity in Islam
In RE this week, Class Three learned about the third pillar of Islam, Zakat. The children considered the importance of charity for Muslims and answered the big question, ‘Is it better to give or receive?’ after reflecting on their own experiences.

Class Two: RE
As Class Two continue to explore the features of a mosque, children were invited to explore Islamic artefacts this week. The children practised the four prayer positions whilst admiring the Quranic art and Islamic calligraphy before creating their own.
